HALIFAX—Halifax needs to procure some major improvements to its procurement processes, according to its auditor general. Municipal auditor general Evangeline Colman-Sadd presented her office’s report on the municipality’s procurement processes to council’s Audit and Finance Standing Committee on Wednesday. Halifax Auditor General Evangeline Colman-Sadd, seen in November, “found significant improvement is needed” on procurement issues. “Certainly our audit found significant improvement is needed,” Colman-Sadd told reporters after Wednesday’s meeting. But certainly we didn’t identify anything as we carried out our work,” Colman-Sadd said.
