PAHOA, Hawaii — The Latest on the eruption of Kilauea volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii (all times local):5:35 p.m.Hawaii Army National Guard commander Brig. Gen. Kenneth Hara says he’s anticipating potentially having to evacuate about 1,000 people from the Puna area where Kilauea volcano is erupting lava. He says Hawaii National Guard CH-47 helicopters are currently training in Texas to prepare to deploy to Kuwait. Hawaii National Guard Brig. Earthquakes continue to shake the Big Island, with the most severe at around 8:30 a.m. producing a 4.4 magnitude quake.
