Brooke Alderton is heartbroken after her four-day-old baby Kayde died after being diagnosed with ornithine transcarbamylase (OTC) deficiency. A four-day-old baby has died after a rare genetic disorder caused a seizure and left him brain damaged. Kayde Matthys was born on January 30 by emergency C-section at south Auckland's Middlemore Hospital. Mum Brooke Alderton said her pregnancy was healthy with no sign of any concerns. He was our first born baby," Alderton said.
