Kalo Funganitao has hit out at "bullies" during a dramatic speech as part of the Heilala festival. In a no holds barred speech at a Miss Pacific pageant in Tonga, an Auckland student has slammed bullies and told her peers to "challenge authority". Her claims, which centred on accusations of bullying, harassment and underhanded tactics in the pageant, have led some people to call for its boycott. Matangi Tonga reported that he ordered the tech crew to play loud music over her speech, before cutting her microphone. A Matangi Tonga reporter heard Sika order the staff to "play the music.
