Police have cordoned off part of Champion St near Bothamley Park in Cannons Creek after a body was found in the stream. A Porirua park has been cordoned off after a body was found in a stream. Police were called to Bothamley Park, near Champion Street, in Cannons Creek just before 8am on Saturday. Cherie Chappell, of nearby Windley St, said it "wasn't the kind of news you want to wake up to". Champion Street is closed between Mepham Place and Windley Street, and cordons are in place in parts of Bothamley Park.
