A south Auckland liquor store has been burgled overnight as the city continues to deal with a crime wave. At around 9:30pm on Sunday, the Karaka Liquor Centre on Hingaia Rd was burgled by brazen thieves who smashed their way into the store. The front door of the store is seen off its hinges and lying next to the entrance. The store owner told NZ Herald it's the eighth time one of their stores has been targeted. "Two months ago our Ōrākei store got hit, our Dominion Road and Richmond Rd stores.
