Over 20 Trinamul workers were injured and several offices of the party were ransacked by alleged BJP activists in Jhargram and West Midnapore shortly after the sixth phase polling ended on Sunday. Trinamul also alleged that several party workers had fled homes at Satdhara village in Jhargram following threats from the BJP. Police patrolling has been intensified.”In West Midnapore’s Garbeta, altogether 12 Trinamul workers were injured when alleged BJP workers, armed with bows and arrows and bamboo sticks, attacked them on Sunday night. At Salboni, five Trinamul workers were injured when alleged BJP activists beat them up with bamboo sticks on Sunday night. The BJP has denied that its workers attacked Trinamul supporters.
