Athol Mann: a life driven by many passionsAthol Wilson Mann's family and friends celebrated his life on November 20 at the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul. Athol Wilson Mann was driven by his life's passions: family, education, profession, music, sport and community service. He started at Burtt McGillivray on Hereford St in Christchurch and spent his nights studying accounting. In 1985 Athol was promoted to executive vice president of Peat Marwick International in New York until it merged into KPMG. Like many Kiwis rugby and cricket played a major role in Athol's life.
