KUALA LUMPUR: National high jumper Nauraj Singh Randhawa (pic) will be based in Sydney for five months in preparation for next April’s Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. He will leave for Sydney on Nov 18 to train under coach Alex Stewart until the Commonwealth Games from April 4-15. The three-time SEA Games gold medallist will also compete in three championships in Australia – the Canberra Open, New South Wales and Sydney Open in February and March. “My biggest challenge next year is the Commonwealth Games. I definitely want to do better than the previous Games,” said Nauraj, who cleared 2.06m in qualifying at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014.
