Ateneo Graduate School of Business to require NMAT scores for admission

MANILA, Philippines — The Ateneo Graduate School of Business (Ateneo GSB) will now require scores from NMAT by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) from applicants seeking admission into its program. Information from the website of Ateneo Graduate School of Business said the school is the “preferred learning partner and shall serve as the official testing center of the internationally-administered NMAT by GMAC which enables schools to recruit top talents.”ADVERTISEMENT“Applicants can now use their NMAT by GMAC scores in applying for any of the degree programs in the Ateneo GSB,” according to the website. Professor Rudy Ang, Dean of the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, said they decided to discontinue the school’s own examination and use the test instead, since they believe it will be more reliable in assessing the applicants’ preparedness for graduate studies. GMAC is an association of leading international graduate business schools. According to the website of NMAT by GMAC, the exam is also being used for admission to some of the leading schools offering graduate programs on business in other countries like India, South Africa, and Nigeria.
