At least 82,000 claims of sexual abuse from former scouts of Boy Scouts of America have been filed against the organization as of Sunday. The Boy Scouts' insurers also will be contributing, although they have been trying to limit their exposure. Another contentious issue is the extent to which the Boy Scouts' roughly 260 local councils will contribute to the fund.
