At Corps Commanders talks, India and China reach mutual consensus to disengage

India and China have come to a “mutual consensus” to disengage on their disputed Eastern Ladakh boundary, an Army source said on Tuesday after day-long talks between Corps Commanders on Monday at Moldo. “The Corps Commander level talks between India and China on June 22 were held at Moldo in a cordial, positive and constructive atmosphere. After the June 6 talks, sources had stated that Pangong Tso would be taken up later at the Corps Commander level. Chushul and Moldo on the Chinese side are one of the designated Border Personal Meeting (BPM) points on the LAC between India and China. As a practice, BPM is held on the side which requests the meetings which is why both the Corps Commander talks were hosted by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
