The first sitting of the Second Kakamega County Assembly was held on September 7, 2017 following the August General Elections. Some of these Bills are The Kakamega County Microfinance Bill, 2017 and The Kakamega County Investment and Development Agency Bill, 2017. Kakamega County Assembly, with a total of 89 members, is the third largest legislative house in the country after the National Assembly and the Nairobi City County Assembly.
