General News of Tuesday, 16 April 2019Source: ghananewsagency.orgAssemblies of God Care Ghana commissions borehole at JiloJilo community now have a solar mechanised boreholeA GHC64,000 solar mechanised borehole constructed by AG Care Ghana and funded by Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC) for Jilo community in the Nanumba North District of the Northern Region has been commissioned. In his welcome address, Mr James Jefferson Abdulai Acting Partner Programme Manager of AG Care, Ghana, formerly Assemblies of God Relief and Development Service (AGREDS) is a Church based non-profit development Organisation (NGO) that coordinated all the development and relief programmes of Assemblies of God Church, Ghana. He said the people of Jilo benefited from the solar mechanised borehole because they improved on open defecation free by constructing household latrines. Mr Abdulai Yaquob, the Nanumba North Municipal Chief Executive who commissioned the solar mechanised borehole said it was the responsibility of the Assembly to provide such facilities for the people. Care Ghana and CCFC for providing people with safe drinking water.
