During the meeting, Issifu commended UNIDO for its outstanding leadership and efforts in promoting inclusive and sustainable industrial development globally. He highlighted UNIDO's impactful initiatives in renewable energy, energy efficiency and green hydrogen, and welcomed the organisation's climate change strategy and circular economy initiatives. The Minister emphasised Ghana's commitment to climate action and industrial development, and sought UNIDO's support in implementing Ghana's Programme for Partnership (PCP). He called for deeper collaboration to facilitate the implementation of the PCP, which aims to address climate change, promote sustainable industrial development and create jobs. Ghana stands ready to collaborate with UNIDO and all Member States to advance a just transition to sustainable, circular and climate-resilient industrial economies, Issifu said.
