A doctor of the Asian Hospital and Medical Center on Monday succumbed to the coronavirus disease 2019. Dr. Mary Grace Lim, 40, of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Quality Management Department, died on duty while fighting the novel coronavirus, the hospital confirmed. “We have lost a remarkable doctor, a good friend and mentor to our budding health care workers,” said the hospital in a statement. Lim joined the growing number of medical practitioners who died of the new coronavirus. Philippine Medical Association President Dr. Oscar Tinio told US radio network NPR that as of April 3, 14 doctors have died of the virus.
