THE call to help others during these troubled times is necessary to assert our humanity. It is indeed telling that this global pandemic has altered our social landscapes and made us into human isolates. One can just imagine the implications of these to our sense of community and, by extension, to our sense of being a nation. He sounded more like a defeated man, instead of a commander ordering his troops to do battle with a deadly virus. In fact, he had to let his alter egos articulate and elaborate what he simply cannot express with authority.
