Eleven people were killed in a shooting in Monterey Park, California on 21 January. Just 48 hours later, seven people were shot dead in Half Moon Bay, California. The ages of the suspects were also unusual – 67 and 72 for Half Moon Bay and Monterey Park, respectively.
