Ashwin’s day out at Green Park

200 AND COUNTING: R. Ashwin is all pumped up after trapping New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson on the fourth day of the first Test in Kanpur on Sunday. When Ravichandran Ashwin, playing in his 37th Test, took Kane Williamson's wicket on Sunday, he became the fastest Indian to reach the milestone of 200 wickets. A packed crowd at the Green Park cheered the off-spinner who was the second-fastest to reach the mark after Australian leg-spinner Clarrie Grimmett (36). The fastest Indian before Ashwin was Harbhajan Singh who did it in 46 Tests. In tandem with left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja, the Tamil Nadu off-spinner claimed three wickets on the fourth day as New Zealand, set a victory target of 434, was struggling at 93 for four.
