Ashie, alias Red Tiger, told the Graphic Sports that he had been working tirelessly for any of the aforementioned titles next month to position him for a possible world title shot in the future. The Ghanaian boxer’s aspiration to contest for the WBO Global or International title next month could see a possible fierce rematch between himself and Emmanuel “Gameboy” Tagoe, who currently holds the WBO Global title. Ashie (29-5-1, 21 Kos) said he was ready to improve his boxing credentials after several setbacks and challenging for the WBO Global or International title next month would be a major step towards boosting his chances for a world title shot. Ashie has won four out of his last five bouts, with his last defeat being against Irish boxer, Stephen Ormond, at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow, last year.
