After James Anderson slammed the Australians for 'bullying', Steve Smith hit back at the English bowler calling him the 'biggest sledger'. The Australia captain described Anderson as "one of the biggest sledgers in the game" on Friday ahead of second test at the Adelaide Oval. "I read the article, and it's interesting coming from Jimmy, calling us bullies and big sledgers," Smith told reporters. "They are quiet when they are not on top which was the case for the first three days of the Brisbane test and then on day four they came alive. Smith also said he wasn't mocking the England team when he laughed along as Bancroft recounted Bairstow's headbutt in a Perth bar earlier in the tour.
