Emergency beds are in place organised by the Dublin Regional Homeless Executive and the Peter McVerry Trust. Outreach workers engaged a number of people sleeping rough and while three of them accepted supports, they declined the offer of accommodation. In Kildare a helpline run by the local council and the Peter McVerry Trust received 14 calls overnight.
