Arvind Kejriwal manhandled at Delhi railway station before starting Punjab visit

New Delhi: Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal was jostled by a crowd of protesters at the Delhi railway station, from where he took a train to poll-bound Punjab, on Thursday. The four-day visit comes amid several controversies that AAP is facing, including the dismissal of its Punjab state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur. Senior leaders in the party said that Kejriwal’s visit is essential to address the resentment among members of the Punjab unit. Chhotepur has gone on to survey the state and meet party volunteers to decide his future course of action. AAP’s Delhi MLA Devinder Sehrawat also wrote to Kejriwal alleging that women were being exploited in return for tickets in Punjab.
