The Gunners spent £25m to sign Tierney from Scottish champions Celtic in 2019 and the 26-year-old made a promising start to his career in north London. John Barnes has urged Tierney to snub Newcastle and fight for his place at Arsenal. ‘Kieran Tierney is a good player who would definitely be a good fit for Newcastle but he’s also a good fit for Arsenal,’ Barnes said. ‘He’s an Arsenal player and Arsenal is a good fit for him.
