A man is facing a serious assault charge after a 43-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed in Paeroa. The victim had been stabbed repeatedly in the fight. A 28-year-old man was arrested a short distance from where the stabbing took place. Detective Sergeant Terri Wilson said he was pleased the man was apprehended without causing further harm to himself or anyone else. The man appeared in Hamilton District Court this morning charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
