The editor-in-chief of Republic TV Arnab Goswami has been sent to judicial custody for two weeks. Earlier today, the Raigad police arrested Goswami from his residence in a raid. Arnab has alleged that he along with his mother-in-law, father-in-law and son were physically assaulted when the police raided his residence. Blatant misuse of state power against Republic TV & Arnab Goswami is an attack on individual freedom and the 4th pillar of democracy. On June 30, the Bombay High Court stayed two FIRs registered against Goswami.
