NewsMilitary troops, adding strength to the national dengue eradication programme took another step and launched a week long Dengue Prevention Programme on Saturday, Defence Ministry said. This programme is carried out in addition to ongoing projects, got off the ground at the MOH office near the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, states Army media sources. The project was launched under the directive of the Army Commander by the Security Forces Headquarters-West. The week long programme will go on till Saturday (08th July). The inauguration of the programme took place on Saturday morning with the presence of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Major General Laksiri Waduge, senior police officers, medical pfficer of health, health ministry and Colombo municipal council officials.
