NewsThe Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA) said today that it has decided to postpone one week long strike scheduled to be commenced from tomorrow for a week, a spokesperson from the organization said. Earlier Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has requested GMOA to postpone the strike in view of increase trend of dengue epidemic in the country. At least 200 persons died and 70,000 persons have been affected due to viral epidemic disease this year alone.
