Sampson Itode, Port HarcourtThe Rivers State Police Command on Thursday paraded one arms dealer, who supplies arms and ammunition to cult gangs and armed robbers terrorising the East-West Road in the region. Addressing journalists at the Rivers State Police Headquarters in Port Harcourt, the capital, Commissioner of Police in the state, Usman Belel, said the suspected arms dealer had confessed to have supplied six pump action guns and cartridges to criminals terrorising the East-West Road. “He was arrested in Rumuji and on interrogation, confessed to have supplied six pump action guns and cartridges to kidnappers and armed robbers terrorising. “He said he gave me one pump action last year but I told him that I gave it to Uchman, the person he said I should give it to. “I have supplied five pump action guns but they came from my customer in Anambra State.
