Police sources said the two are close to Ajay Pandit, one of the six men arrested in Babughat on Sunday. Pandit, sources said, had been involved in arms smuggling for almost a decade and built a fortune. The police suspect that some of Pandit's associates might provide clues to the number of arms smuggled out of the factory and the identity of the recipients. "We have come to know that the smuggled arms would be supplied to Maoists and the mafia in Bihar. Apart from Pandit, the men arrested on May 6 were Kartick Shaw, Umesh Ray, Sukhoda Murmu, Sushanta Basu and Jay Shankar.
