Armed police are in Oamaru this afternoon "as a precaution". Police were executing a routine search warrant at a Wansbeck St addressabout 1.15pm, a police spokeswoman said. And the armed police were there to support that action. A reporter at the scene said there was "at least one" armed police officer and several police cars at the address.
