Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is whisked into a CTU-Government Forum at the Conference and Function Centre in Palmerston North. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern made what is believed to be her first prime ministerial visit to Palmerston North on Wednesday. Police and security was tight around the Conference and Function Centre for Ardern's arrival as protesters against Oranga Tamariki's uplifting of children gathered outside in the rain. The forum was one of a series being held around New Zealand to encourage dialogue between workers and key government ministers. "It's also for delegates to hear directly from the Government what they are trying to do."
