Jakub J Gyrgiel, however, feels that geostrategy is the use of military and diplomatic means to achieve geopolitical ends. The interrelationship between geopolitics, geostrategy and geoeconomics needs critical analysis. IR is all about leverages, quid pro quos, national interests etc. Do they converge with their own national interests, do they clash with them, or do they simply overwhelm and negate them? Its foreign, defence, economic and security policies must retain focus on its own vital national interests.
