Charlie Rose, who was accused by eight women of sexual harassment Monday, told The Washington Post, “I deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior. Though they had never spoken in detail about the incident, the man told her he was sorry for his behavior. “It was like a blip, an ‘I’m going to say “I’m sorry” and put it behind us.’” In response, Allison told her abuser that she forgave him. “A full apology is: ‘I’m sorry. I’m going to change and here’s how I’m going to change.’” Allison said she remained saddled with the trauma that someone she liked and trusted had violated her, which took a devastating toll on her self-confidence.
