KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will undergo surgery on his right shoulder at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) on Sunday (Nov 12). The former Opposition leader's family said he has been suffering from continuous pain in his right shoulder, which worsened after a car accident on Sept 22. The accident took place when Anwar was being transferred from HKL to Sungai Buloh prison. She added that Anwar sustained the shoulder injury in a previous accident. He had been managing the injury through physiotherapy and medication, she said, adding that her father has to undergo surgery because of the immense pain.
