Did you know that on Netflix you can run a search for “Filipino Love Triangle Movies?” I realized how the genre has become quite popular in the last five years. Is it because we’re the only country in the world (with the exception of The Vatican) to not allow divorce? Neil Reyes, who works as director and video editor of the paper’s Lifestyle and Entertainment online program, “The Manila Times CSI,” pitched Antoinette Jadaone’s “Alone / Together” for this week’s “CSI Watchlist,” which Fan Girl hosts, and yep — I found it classified under the “love triangle” category. What this film has done is make me more curious about director Jadaone’s work, which I should be more familiar with. So indeed, given Jadoane’s filmography, one element stands out in the love triangle.
