Anthony Loke: PSC rates, viability of setting ceiling airfare prices to be reviewed - Nation

KUALA LUMPUR: Passenger service charge (PSC) rates would be reviewed as well as the viability of setting ceiling prices for airfares during the festive season, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke. He said that the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) is conducting a study to review the rates and implement them by Jan 1, 2020. Currently, the PSC for domestic, Asean, and international destinations outside Asean is set at RM11, RM35 and RM73 per person. He also said Mavcom would look into the feasibility of setting ceiling prices of air tickets for those returning home during the festive season. The decision on whether to continue the search for MH370 would only be announced after he discussed it with Cabinet, he added.
