It was suspected the Dutch woman, 66, suffered a stroke on board the cruise vessel, MV Ortelius, in Antarctic waters early on Monday morning, Maritime NZ said. The ship's medical staff recommended the woman be taken to New Zealand for further medical treatment, Maritime NZ said. It was expected the medevac would happen about midday on Tuesday, before the flight to New Zealand on Wednesday, Maritime NZ said.
