The arrested leader was planning to free the banned group's chief Jasim Uddin Rahmani from prison, the elite police unit said. In a text message, sent to the media on Saturday, the RAB said 24-year-old Rashedul Islam Swapan was arrested during a raid in Gazipur. They claimed Swapan was the banned militant group's 'chief coordinator' in Gazipur. RAB says another activist of the militant outfit was arrested with Swapan. It claimed that Swapan and his accomplice were planning to free their top leader Jasim Uddin Rahmani from the Kashimpur prison in Gazipur.
