Another victim has died from injuries suffered in the train accident in Bhairab, taking the death toll from the rail collision to 18. The dead man was identified as Belal Mia, according to Sadiqur Rahman Shobuj, the Bhairab Upazila executive officer. He hailed from Narsingdi’s Belab Upazila and was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Monday night with injuries following the train accident. He was then transferred to Dhaka Medical. The injured are receiving treatment at local hospitals, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, or the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, popularly known as Pongu Hospital.
