Addressing a special session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly on Kashmir Day, the prime minister said that he believed that occupied Kashmir would achieve independence as a result of its bifurcation by Modi-led government on Aug 5 last year. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran arrived in Muzaffarabad to address the session. Prime Minister Imran was accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur and Kashmir Committee Chairman Syed Fakhar Imam. Legislative Assembly Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir welcomed Prime Minister Imran and AJK PM as well as the other government officials.
