MUMBAI: A special women's court today convicted a 25-year-old man for murdering a Delhi native by hurling acid at Bandra Terminus in 2013. Judge AS Shende found the accused Ankur Panwar, a man who was known to the victim Preeti Rathi (24), guilty. Rathi died on June 1, 2013. He further stated that days before the attack Rathi had confided in a friend that the accused had threatened her with consequences if she moved to Mumbai. Nikam also refuted the defence claims that Rathi died due to the negligence of doctors.
