Auckland Council responded to a call out regarding sheep intestines dumped on the banks of the Tamaki River. Remains of sheep intestines have been found dumped near a track frequented by dog owners in east Auckland. “A bag believed to be containing offal was illegally dumped in a residential street in Glendowie. I can say the most common items that are dumped illegally are rubbish bags, mattresses and furniture,” a spokesperson said. “It is also not uncommon for our contractors to collect and dispose of illegally dumped material in their day-to-day work without the need to alert the council.”
