The youth had attempted to lynch the man, Iddi Baba, upon his return to the area last Friday after a month-long exile because of his wizardry. Officers from the Tamale Metropolitan Police Command amidst warning shots rescued him after the angry youth massed up to his residence to lynch him. His sons in trying to save him, inflicted cutlass and pistol wounds on their cousins Imoro Gundana, Majeed and Abukari. Baba and his children had to also spend the night at the Northern Regional DOVVSU.
