Crime & Punishment of Thursday, 25 December 2025Source: GNAProphet Daniel Yaw Nkansah, 2008 Presidential Candidate of the New Vision Party, has been granted GHC10 million bail with two sureties by the Accra High Court over alleged land fraud. The Court heard that when the complainant later attempted construction, Kano Shipping Company Limited laid a rival claim and denied her access. Police investigations revealed that in 2018, Rona Construction Company Limited assigned the 1.33‑acre land to Kano Shipping Ghana Limited with the consent of the Lands Commission. In October 2024, Kano Shipping Ghana Limited registered the land and obtained Land Certificate Number GA.72901. Further investigations indicated that the purported title of Emmanuel Gainsford originated from Kano Shipping but was denied by both Daniel Awuah Darko and Nana Adjoa Hackman.
