The star newspaper reports that a junior secondary school teacher spent the whole weekend in custody after he was caught red handed defiling a grade seven pupil in a maize plantation.The 38-year old teacher known as Eric Rotich was fished out of the maize farm by angry members of the public who found him defiling the girl. It is said the teacher parked his motorcycle on a road side after he waylaid the student who was heading home with maize flour from a nearby posho mill.Members of the public who wre minding thit business were attracted to some distressed cries from the girl who was crying for help from the maize farm. Police commander for Tinderet sub county where the incident happened, Mohamed Jireh stated the confirmed the unruly teacher was arrested and would face full force of the law. “The victim was taken to Meteitei sub-district hospital for treatment and for further investigations because this a serious matter and the suspect will face the law,” Jireh said.
