Motorcycle taxi firm Angkas is preparing to implement ashless transactions with the help of financial service providers and e-payment firms, an executive said. Its chief transportation advocate George Royeca said the company was finalizing discussions with banks and digital payment providers to develop Angkas’ cashless shift. The app is ready for cashless,” he said during a virtual briefing late on Friday. Last week, the government gave the go signal for the resumption of the motorcycle taxi pilot run. The Angkas official said its 30,000 partner-bikers are ready to serve commuters in Metro Manila.
