Angela Constance admits Scottish Post Office Horizon victims face longer wait for justice than England and blames Westminster

Scottish victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal have been warned that they may face longer waits for justice and compensation than their English and Welsh counterparts. And the Scottish Government's justice secretary blamed Westminster for this as it is refusing to legislate on behalf of Holyrood. It has led SNP justice secretary Angela Constance to hit out at this as "unclear" and confess that Scottish sub-postmasters may be forced to wait even longer for justice. Her comments came after Post Office minister Kevin Hollinrake confirmed that the legislation would not cover Scotland or Northern Ireland. Ms Constance stressed this was important in “minimising any delay in Scottish sub-postmasters having their convictions reversed”.
