Share TweetBy Ben RosarioGovernment personnel, whether in civilian or military service, should expect increases in their pay next year even if the 2019 national budget is not approved as scheduled on January 15. “The fate of the 2019 national budget will have no impact on the scheduled round of pay hikes next year for government personnel, civilian and military,” Andaya said yesterday. He pointed out that the authority to release the pay adjustments for civilian employees and military personnel are governed by separate laws. The amount covers about P51.7 billion earmarked for the fourth and final tranche of the Salary Standardization Law IV which covers civilian employees.
