International Boxing Federation (IBF) super flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas is all set for his US debut fight against Mexican Israel Gonzalez on February 3, at the Bank of America Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. “You will see a hungry version of Jerwin in my US debut,” Ancajas (28-1-1 win-loss-draw record with 19 knockouts) told the media in a news conference on Saturday at the Island Cove Resort in Binakayan, Cavite. “He (Gonzalez) is in the top 10 of the IBF and a good test for Jerwin’s US debut. Sultan beat fellow Johnriel Casimero last September 9, in an IBF title eliminator bout in Cebu and became a mandatory challenger of Ancajas. He also mentioned that they are working with ESPN Sports to air Ancajas’ US debut in February.
